The bus that picks up in Westfir and Hemlock may be running a little late this morning.
Tuesday Night the 21 of May we will be showing the PG 13 Movie, The Words on the Bathroom Wall, for Middle and High School students. It is a story about a student who develops schizophrenia. It will start at 5:30 pm. We will have food and the first 45 students who attend will receive a $20 dollars gift card for Fred Myers. Students under the age of 13 must have parent permission and can pick up a permission slip in the Counseling Center.

OAKRIDGE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO OFFER KITS PROGRAM
The Oakridge School District in collaboration with Lane County United Way
and the Oregon Social Learning Center will be offering at no cost to families
the "Kids in Transition to School" or KITS program during the summer of
2024 for children entering kindergarten in the fall 2024-25.
During the program your kids will:
Build beginning reading, writing & counting skills
Learn essential school readiness skills like following directions, how to make
friends and cooperating with others
As a parent, you will get from the program:
How to support the skill your child is learning
Make connections with your child's school
Prepare your child for success in school
Details:
The KITS summer session will tentatively run from 07/08/2024 - 08/08/2024,
held at Westridge School, Monday through Thursday.
The time will be determined.
Transportation is available for students to and from KITS sessions.
Parents interested in pre-registering their child for the KITS program can visit

Notice of Budget Committee Meeting Change of Date
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Oakridge School District, Lane County, and State of
Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 will be held at Oakridge
School District Board Room and via Zoom. Details will be available on the District website
www.oakridge.k12.or.us. The meeting will take place on the 22nd day of April 2024 at 5:30 P.M. The
purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on
the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after April 22nd at the
District Office, 47997 W 1 st St, Oakridge, OR 97463 after 5:30 P.M. or on the District website. The 2024-
25 Budget Committee Calendar and postings can be found on the District website.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may
appear at the meeting or via Zoom and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.
