SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM
The last day meals will be served through the summer lunch program is August 27. Our school based meal service will begin on September 8, 2020. We are waiting for information from the Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition, concerning how we will be allowed to serve meals to children attending the Oakridge School District. When we have information we will share that with you. Please know that we will have meals available for all Oakridge School District students whether they are attending in person or online. We will let you know how to access them if your child is attending online.
Good afternoon. This message is for Oakridge Parents. We are holding a Parent information meeting on Thursday, August 27 at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held by Zoom. You may log in on your computer or dial in on your phone. The link information will be posted on the morning of August 27on our website under the Live Feed and News links (click on Menu and you will see them).
Information will be shared concerning specifics of the Elementary and Junior/Senior High School reopening. General information about state and county COVID metrics and how they direct our instructional model will also be shared. We will record the session and post it on our website Friday.
OAKRIDGE SCHOOL DISTRICT INFORMATIONAL MEETING VIA ZOOM AUGUST 27 @ 6:30 PM. A Zoom meeting link will posted to the District website on August 27 Join us for an informational meeting where our building principals will share information with you about Comprehensive Distance Learning in their schools. In addition information about K-3 in person instruction will be shared. Overall information about state and county metrics and how they impact reopening schools will also be shared. We will gather questions that will be compiled and answers shared out to all in a written format.

The Oakridge School District is holding an Excess Equipment Sale
Friday, August 14, at Oakridge High School Bus Barn, at 47997 W 1st St. (Access sale on 2nd St), 9:00-2:00: 1- 1986 Chevrolet 3/4 ton, 2 WD with lift; 1- 12’ stainless steel salad bar; 2 – 6’ Powermate table saws and 1-table saw (no brand name); 1- Rockwell/Delta drill press; 2- Delta scroll saws; 1- Sanding Station-disc/belt; 1- 6’ pick-up canopy.
Sealed bids accepted from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the sale for listed items. Bids will be opened August 15, at 1:00 p.m. and successful bidders notified by August 17 and will have until 4:00 p.m. to pick up and pay for the item(s). Those failing to meet the payment schedule shall forfeit their rights to the next highest bidder. Other misc items will be marked and sold on site.
Saturday, August 15 A second sale will be held at Westridge Middle School at 46433 Westfir Rd. from 9:00 to 2:00. Items at this sale include, chairs, tables, desks, computer monitors and much, much, more.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY. SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE IN PLACE .
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Oakridge School District has purchased basic school supplies for all students to use at school. These will be distributed to individual students in containers with their name marked on it. These will be used exclusively by each student at school. If you need supplies and are unable to purchase for use at home, we can help you out. Please let your school know. PS: At least in the beginning of the year, we will not be using backpacks in the buildings at all when we are able to return.
Pandemic-EBT update: Oakridge School District registered all families to receive the Pandemic-EBT Summer Benefit. According to DHS, our files are being processed and it may be the end of August or early September before you start receiving the benefit. All students registered in the 2019-20 school year qualify. If you do not receive your card or additional benefit on your card by August 15, please contact DHS.

The summer lunch program begins today. Any child ages 1-18 may participate in the free GRAB AND GO breakfast and lunch. Meals are served MONDAY-THURSDAY. Thursday will include meals for Friday. The meals will be served on REVISED Bus Routes between 11:30 and 12:30. CHECK our website for updated bus routes and more specific delivery times.

Meal delivery on Thursday includes 3 meals each day for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Meals are available Monday through Thursday on bus routes or at OHS.
Due to the Memorial Day Holiday, there will be no meal delivery on Monday, May 25.
Meal delivery on Thursdays will include meals for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. These meals include breakfast, lunch, and supper for each day. Your child will receive a total of 12 meals plus milk today. Meals are available Monday through Thursday on bus routes or at OHS.
Today, May 4, 2020 our meal service will include supper. When you pick up your meals at the bus stop or at OHS they include Breakfast, lunch, and supper. The meals are grab an go and heat and serve at all sites beginning today. The instructions for storage and reheating are included in each bag. Thank you to our wonderful cooks and classified employees who are working tirelessly to prepare and deliver over 1500 meals each day and double on Thursdays!
